Junior A Hurling Championship Quarter Final
Clodiagh Gaels 1-14 Crinkill 1-13. Our participation in this years Junior championship continues after a hard fought win in Moystown. We started the brightest with a goal from Diarmuid Brady. Crinkill came back into it with a couple of points from play and frees before half time. We went in 1-6 to 0-7 up at half time. We came out in the second half and added a few more points. Crinkill got themselves a goal of their own midway through the second half to make things interesting. Both sides exchanged points late on but we managed to hold on. We look forward to a semi final in two weeks.
Senior B Hurling Championship Semi Final
Clodiagh Gaels 0-17 Birr 0-13. We progress to the Senior B Hurling Final against Kilcormac-Killoughey in two weeks time. We went in 0-11 to 0-7 up at the break. The game was very stop start for its entirety and both teams found it very hard to get going. It’s not a game that will live long in the memory.
