Junior B Hurling Championship Round 3
Clodiagh Gaels 0-6 Gracefield 2-19. A tough night at the office for our Junior Bs on Thursday night in Killeigh. It’s great for us to be able to field three teams and expose a lot of our younger players to adult championship hurling.
Senior B Hurling Championship Round 3
Clodiagh Gaels 2-16 Lusmagh 1-21. We suffered our first defeat of the campaign against a very good Lusmagh side on Friday night. We went in level at the break 1-9 to 0-12 with Conor Langton getting our goal midway through the first half. We never got going in the second half with Lusmagh asserting their dominance on the game. A late David Buckley goal reduced the deficit to two points. We had our chances late on to get something from the game but it wouldn’t have been deserved over the 60 minutes.
Junior A Hurling Championship Round 3
Clodiagh Gaels 2-17 Kinnitty 0-9. Well done to the lads on a comprehensive win on Sunday. We went in 2-6 to 0-6 ahead at the break after first half goals from Jason Coonan and Darryl Kilroe. We continued to keep the foot down in the second half with scores coming from our forward unit. We are currently sitting top of the group with a game to play against Brosna Gaels in round 5. We have a bye in round 4.
