Our U12 hurlers had a great 3-5 to 0-3 win over a courageous DSK side in Killeigh Friday evening.
Two early goals from Fionn McGrath gave the home side a lead that the Na Fianna backs protected resolutely up until half time to go in 2-2 to 0-3 ahead.
Na Fianna kept their momentum going in the second half kick started by a Ben Wallace major from a long range free followed by points from Cathal Cuskelly, Kaiden Monaghan and Dara McAndrew following great team work and passing all the way from the full back line. While the forwards got the scores, the Na Fianna midfield and defence put in a tremendous shift over the hour, with a Kevin Dunne clearance on the goal line late on an example of their exertions. This win is a great boost for the lads and a testament to the practice that they are putting at training, in school and at home.
